AUGUST 9, 2026

August 9, 2026, on the Islam Makhachev front. This was a day of unbroken rule: espnmma held the hill for all 24 tracked hours, and the crown never moved. Nobody in the elite ranks could put together an hour loud enough to take the summit.

The summit itself never fell, but the trenches were busy: 12 overtakes were logged among the elite ranks as challengers traded positions below the king.

Between them, the 8 tracked armies fired 19.0M engagements across the day. The single hottest hour belonged to espnmma, who detonated 808.5K engagements in the 19:00 UTC hour alone.

In sheer volume, espnmma was the loudest army of the day with 56% of tracked engagement, ahead of ufc (15%) and spinningelbowofficial (11%).
