THE SHORT VERSION
alon.wtf is a collection of live data-art experiments. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no collection of names, emails, or personal profiles. We are interested in the internet's creators, not in you.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic: pages visited, approximate geography, device type, and events such as clicking a share button or playing an audio bulletin. Google Analytics sets cookies; its handling of data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
First-party click counts. When you click a link to lunarcrush.com we record an anonymous event containing only the page you were on and the destination URL. No IP address, no cookie, no user identifier is stored with it.
Preferences. The site may use your browser's local storage to remember small preferences (for example, sound settings). This data never leaves your browser.
WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT
No accounts or passwords. No email addresses. No precise location. No advertising identifiers. We do not sell, rent, or share any visitor data with anyone, because we barely have any.
WHERE THE SOCIAL DATA COMES FROM
Every creator ranking, engagement figure, sentiment score, and post shown on this site is public social data provided by LunarCrush (lunarcrush.com). It concerns public creator accounts on platforms like X, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit and Instagram — not visitors to this site. Links to LunarCrush include a referral tag (ref=DGB).
Creator names and avatars shown here belong to their owners and are displayed as public information. If you are a creator and want something corrected or removed, contact us below.
THIRD PARTIES
The site is hosted on Vercel and stores its own generated content (like cached audio bulletins and daily war chronicles) in Supabase. Audio narration is generated with ElevenLabs from our own scripts — nothing you do on the site is sent to them. Outbound links (LunarCrush, X, creator platforms) are governed by those services' own policies.
