alon.wtf is a collection of live, experimental visualizations of public social-media data ("strange & rad experiments in visualizing real-time social data"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, the door is the little × on your browser tab.
IT'S ART, NOT ADVICE
Everything on this site — wars, weather forecasts, stock tickers, trading cards, chronicles — is entertainment built on top of real third-party data. Nothing here is financial, investment, or professional advice of any kind. The "forecasts" are playful extrapolations with honestly decaying confidence, not predictions to rely on. Do not make decisions about money, careers, or hurricanes based on this website.
ACCURACY
Social metrics are provided by LunarCrush and reflect their measurement of public activity. We display them faithfully but provide no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or availability. Rankings shift constantly; the site may be wrong, stale, rate-limited, or down.
CREATORS SHOWN ON THE SITE
Creator names, handles, and avatars are public information about public accounts, shown for commentary and data-visualization purposes. Being crowned king of a hill, struck by lightning, or named as a category 4 hurricane is a metaphor about engagement statistics, not a factual claim about a person. If you are a creator and want a correction or removal, email alon@dgb.vc and we'll sort it out.
ACCEPTABLE USE
Don't abuse the site: no attempts to disrupt it, overload its APIs, scrape it at hostile volume, or use it to harass creators or anyone else. The share tools exist to share the experiments, not to misrepresent people.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The experiments, code, design, and generated content of alon.wtf belong to the site's author. Creator names and avatars belong to their respective owners. LunarCrush data belongs to LunarCrush. Share cards and videos generated by the site may be shared freely with attribution intact.
LIABILITY
The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site's author is not liable for any damages arising from use of the site. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid to use alon.wtf, which is zero dollars.
CHANGES
These terms may be updated as the experiments evolve; the effective date below will change when they do. Continued use means acceptance.
